Rock Springs Unit Supervisor
A full time Unit Supervisor job opening is available within the Macon County Conservation District at Rock Springs Conservation Area. The selected candidate will be self-motivated with a well-rounded knowledge of park and conservation area maintenance practices and supervisory skills.

Compensation: Salary starting at $42,000 – $46,500 (DOQ)
Terms of Position: Permanent, full time position, from 8am to 4:30pm. May include some weekends.
Duties: Under general direction oversees and manages the daily maintenance and natural resource operations within assigned park sites. This includes responsibility for park facilities, lands, equipment, and vehicles, as well as supervision of staff: See Full Job Description.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with a major course of study in park management, forestry, horticulture, natural resource management, or a related field, and four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess valid Illinois Driver’s License (CDL Class A) with a clean driving record. Must possess a Pesticide Applicator’s License and be a certified Playground Inspector through the National Recreation and Park Association. Must possess current First Aid and CPR certificates, or have the ability to acquire them within six months of hire. Must successfully complete a drug screen and criminal background check.
